I THINK OF YOU.

Having these three fellas in a group wouldn’t be such a bad idea after watching this video. Jeremih teams up with Chris Brown and Big Sean for his single ” I Think Of You” giving us some old school R&B vibes. Chasing the pretty girl around the block, all three try and shoot the breeze. Jeremih delivers a modern day “Do The Right Thing” visual, even with a cameo from Dan The Man stealing as usual. While Breezy and Big Sean keep it real when it comes going after what they want.

With each delivering a taste of their own thoughts, it’s kinda hard for us not to get lost in the thoughts with them. Plus how can you deny them, when all try and compare you to the sunset?  Just seems as if these three together kinda go hard, like they’re playing the playoffs.  They even have a tip for the ladies, panties by the nightstand is a way to keep em feening.

Wale finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his recent lady of interest. Looking for a little guidance from his homeboy, Wale calls on PNB Rock for help with his latest single “Dilemma”. But it seems like birds of a feather flock together in this situation, because Rock looks like he needs some help of his own when it comes to seeing his lady.

But Wale and PNB shoot their shot, tell their women to stop playing and let the fellas skip over the Netflix and get straight to the chilling. Now ladies, what are you to do when they come for you? Can’t wait to see what else Wale has more in store? Well you won’t have to wait long, his new album “Shine” is slated to drop May 5th.

NEW CRIB.

Mila J is at her wits end in her new visual “New Crib” that she actually pulls her hair out. Needing to find a place of her own, she also decides to do a little spring cleaning of ol boy’s ish. But it’s hard to put memories in a box, and not reminisce a little on what once was.

Despite the memories Mila J packs it up over an old school R. Kelly vibe, and  decides maybe it’s just better to get a whole new place. Can she stay with you?

DNA.

It just seems as if Kendrick Lamar can reallyyy do no wrong when it comes to his delivery. Three days after dropping what many are already calling  album of the year, Kung Fu Kenny delivers his second single “DNA”, with a visual that you can’t help but say ‘Damn.’ to. When I tell you that Kendrick can do NO WRONG,  he can do no wrong.

Giving us some day in the life of vibes, Lamar faces off with Ocean 11’s Don Cheadle over a polygraph, and ends the night shooting the breeze with Schoolboy Q. Calling out the real from the fake within ourselves, the multifaceted Kendrick, always leaves us wanting more. Whether it be an audio or visual stimulation, you always get your fix when it comes to Kendrick. If you don’t think so, Schoolboy Q will knock a little sense in you.

PRIVACY.

Though he might not be getting enough of it these days, it hasn’t slowed him down when it comes to making great, feel good music. Releasing his latest visual for his new single, “Privacy”, Chris Brown let’s us know exaccctly how he wants to spend his alone time.

Giving us some Smooth Criminal vibes, Chris shuffles his way through the casino, trying to dance his way into the hearts of those in room 326. Say what you want about the man, but his music neverrrrr disappoints. Breezy even came through with some 90s Reggae vibes, by sampling “Tight Up Skirt”.

We can all agree that this song can be on a few different playlists this year, especially a summer party list (maybe the censored version, for the kids). Privacy is off the upcoming album ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon’, hopefully Chris won’t keep us in the dark too much longer on the release date. But for now..we’ll get our fix with this new video.

THE BEST STORYTELLER OF ALL TIME.

Yesterday the world experienced a tremendous loss, when comedic legend Charlie Murphy finished his battle with Leukemia. No one outside of his family, knew the conditions of the comedian but we all can agree, it was completely too soon. Not Charlie Man.

The older brother of Eddie Murphy, Charlie was best remembered for his classic True Hollywood Stories on The Dave Chappelle Show. He delivered us with endless laughs from his exquisite storytelling, including some with industry legends, Rick James and Prince. Charlie Murphy will continue to be apart of the culture, while his legacy will continue to live on through the moments he’s given us on camera. Prayers to his family, friends, and children.

THE REAL IS BACK!

Just making over a year since we’ve had an album, King Kunta aka Kendrick Lamar, has emerged from the abyss and finally debuted the artwork  for his 5th studio album ‘Damn.’. A tracklist consisting of only 14 songs with 3 features, and 2 of those features being, U2 and Rihanna!  Yup you read that right, let it just sink in, U2..andddd..Rihanna. With features like them, one can only imagine how those records sound, let alone the rest of the album. If it were to sound anywhere close to the first single “Humble.”, then we’re in for a treat.

Since being released “Humble.”, has already skyrocketed to number 1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts, but also landed number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100s. Making it Kendrick’s fourth Top 10 but FIRST  top 10 single debut as lead artist (simply meaning, he wasn’t a featured artist, it’s his actual ish!). But as if that wasn’t good enough, “Humble.” is the highest Hip Hop song debut on the Hot 100s  since Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie” nearly seven years ago which also slide into the number 2 spot. Even with all the accolades, K.Dot still practices what he preaches and remains humble, while the rest of us are screaming that this album is already Grammy worthy! ‘Damn.’ is slated to drop on Good Friday, 4/14. Coincidence, I think not. Check out K. Dot’s mini interruption of The Last Supper in his visual for “Humble.”.
