MOTOR SPORT.

This is really looking like Cardi B caught the biggest lick of the 2017. Besides becoming the first female rapper in 19 years (since Lauryn Hill) to have a number 1 single on the Billboard charts with “Bodak Yellow”, she had the surprise of a lifetime when her boyfriend Offset propose on stage, and she’s now back with a feature on the new Migos single, “Motor Sport” featuring another hot female rapper, Nicki Minaj. Yup, what some thought would never happen, did. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are on the same track. Talk about a New York power move and takeover.

Though there was some speculations over who the song was originally intended for, the single still happened and it’s dope! Each female delivered clever word play, The fellas did too, but it was clearly all eyes on the ladies on this one. One could only imagine if we’ll see future projects from Cardi and Nicki or even how the music video would turn out. But for now, beggars can’t be choosers, so the audio will do.

   WE NEED SOME MOTIVATION.

With the third installment of Jeezy’s Trap Or Die, it’s only right that this week’s flashback Friday go to no other than Atlanta’s snowman, Jeezy. A little over a decade, Jeezy whose formally known as “Young Jeezy” has been giving us that genuine, pure, never stepped on trap music. But don’t get it twisted, he can still switch it up from a ladies anthem, to political raps in a heart beat. Jeezy just never seems to disappoint, so here are a few joints to remind you. Make sure to check out Trap Or Die 3 .

THROWBACK THURSDAY: SHAWTY LO

BIG UP, TO ALL MY HATERS.

With the unfortunate and shocking death of Atlanta legend, Shawty Lo early yesterday morning, it’s only right that this week’s throwback pay tribute to the founder of D4L, and countless crunk anthems. We send our thoughts and prayers to his 11 children and all his love ones he left behind.

WHITE BOY PRIVILAGE

OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES.

A 14 year old from Atlanta, Georgia by the name of Royce Mann has been getting a lot of recognition for a poem he performed at his school poetry slam. This young man shed the light on so many social inequalities based on race and gender, that you can’t help but be amazed. It’s remarkable to see that someone so young can understand there’s an elephant in the room, yet attack it full on. His openness about what has happened in our world is what so many people know to be true, yet are too afraid to ever address. The poem name alone “White Boy Privilege” hooks  you in, but his words, delivery and passion captivate your heart.

HE GETS IT.

As if one poem wasn’t enough, Royce Mann stops by the talk show “Preachers” in Atlanta and drops some more gems on police brutality. He is a force to be reckoned with, and so many people salute him for his bravery, heart and spirit. Me being one of them.

THANK YOU!
