MOTOR SPORT.

This is really looking like Cardi B caught the biggest lick of the 2017. Besides becoming the first female rapper in 19 years (since Lauryn Hill) to have a number 1 single on the Billboard charts with “Bodak Yellow”, she had the surprise of a lifetime when her boyfriend Offset propose on stage, and she’s now back with a feature on the new Migos single, “Motor Sport” featuring another hot female rapper, Nicki Minaj. Yup, what some thought would never happen, did. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are on the same track. Talk about a New York power move and takeover.

Though there was some speculations over who the song was originally intended for, the single still happened and it’s dope! Each female delivered clever word play, The fellas did too, but it was clearly all eyes on the ladies on this one. One could only imagine if we’ll see future projects from Cardi and Nicki or even how the music video would turn out. But for now, beggars can’t be choosers, so the audio will do.

WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE GO HIGH!

THE STORY OF THIS COUNTRY.

Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic Nation Convention in Philadelphia was nothing less than spectacular. To step on stage and give such a riveting endorsement speech for Hilary Clinton, First Lady, Michelle Obama truly brought the house down. Touching on points of unity, equality and just plain ol regular right, Mrs. Obama captivates us with her persuasive words that could even make some of us teary eyed. “I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.”I watch my daughter, two beautiful intelligent, black young women, playing with their dog on the White House lawn” I don’t know about yall, but I would be all for Michelle Obama for President.

Nothing Real Can Be Threatened

A picture is worth a thousand words and what’s understood never needs to be explained.

Now many of us look at Jay z and Beyoncé as the epitome of relationship goals. From their unwavering love to even the hidden mysteries within their marriage, you can’t help but hold them at a high regard. Now when “Lemonade” was released, many of us were ready to jump ship. Catching wind of the hypothetical scenario of Mr. Carter fighting with those infidelity urges. But what “Lemonade” did for a lot of us, was open our eyes to our own personal battles within our relationships. Tuning out the naysayers and trusting in your heart. The uphill journey of starting over again that Beyoncé took us on, shed light that love is only built for realest soldiers. Allowing us to see that tough love can implicate forgiveness and how a little bit of hot sauce can boost up our swag.

But in all seriousness, if what you have established is deep rooted and seeded in love, then nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. It might not make sense to everyone looking on the outside in, but if the love is truly genuine, then there’s no way that you can’t win.

Get Out Your Own Way

image

Do you know what is one of the biggest obstacles that we face in life? Learning how to see outside of ourselves. The reason why so many of us find it difficult to get where we’re going, is because we are too busy talking ourselves out of the destination. Usually our biggest competition is the person we stare at in the mirror everyday. We’re too busy telling ourselves that if we actually tried it, we’d end up failing, thrown two steps back and left looking foolish. Sometimes we really just need to rip the band aide off, take the chance, fall on our face and get right back up. The actual fear of flying is what keeps so many of us on the ground.  When are you going to realize that your potential lies ahead of what you’re afraid to take on. Do yourself a favor, get out of your own way and let the possibilities take you away. You’ve already tried it your way, let your heart take over.
